Exploring the Environment

During Term Three all grades throughout the school were involved in a whole-school unit exploring environmental issues. As part of this unit, students explored ways in which they could help care for their local environment and in particular the Bushy Park wetlands near the school.

To coincide with preparations for this unit, Camelot Rise Primary School invited all community members to be involved in creating a human sign to promote environmental issues next month. The sign read

CLIMATE CHANGE - OUR FUTURE IS IN YOUR HANDS.

The sign was formed by over 10,000 people, on St.Kilda Beach, at 11 am (sharp) on Sunday 17 May 2009.
