Wastewise

At Camelot Rise Primary school we are developing a wastewise and environmentally friendly school environment. Throughout the year children are encouraged to bring their lunches to school in re-useable containers and reduce the amount of rubbish which is brought into school.

Classes regularly compete for trophies and prizes for being the class which brings the least amount of rubbish to school during selected weeks of the school year.

Students are involved in Clean Up Australia Day each year as well as an ongoing paper recycling program.

We are currently developing an environmentally friendly fitness track with an emphasis on local flora with the aim of improving student fitness and understanding of the local environment.
