To celebrate Book Week the students were grouped with buddies and involved in activities.  The older children read books to their partners before moving outside to do Pavement Art. Using chalk, the children worked co-operatively to draw a picture of their favourite section of the chosen book. It was gratifying to see the children working so well with each other to complete outstanding work.

It was certainly an exciting morning for the children, staff and those parents who were still at school following assembly. It was a spectacular sight (and extremely noisy!) watching the Air Ambulance land on our school oval. Once it was safe to do so, the children thoroughly appreciated the opportunity to have a closer look at this vital piece of equipment. Some children even had the opportunity to sit in the rescue harness.  It was also wonderful that everyone could then move on to view the inside of a road ambulance. I would like to pass on an enormous thank you to Colin and David Jones and Matt Davidson for organising this amazing experience. Talking to the children this has been an event that will be remembered for a very long time.
