Curriculum
Programs - School Structure
Camelot Rise P.S. currently has approximately 350 students across Foundation to Grade 6, and are supported by professional and experienced staff.
Our teachers strive to deliver programs which provide quality education and foster a love of learning.
Our teaching spaces have been designed to allow students and teachers to focus on learning and wellbeing, and reflect our philosophy that students learn at different levels. In particular, flexible learning spaces, collaborative structures and a range of technology helps offer innovative learning and teaching opportunities.
Our gymnasium, art, music and classrooms provide additional spaces to facilitate new learning opportunities.
Camelot Rises P.S. teaches the Victorian Curriculum which incorporates a combination of knowledge and skills. We also use the curriculum to tailor programs for continuous learning of students with additional needs, English as an additional language (EAL) and gifted and talented students.
Student Excellence and Achievement
We are active participants in the Victorian High Ability Program (VHAP), targeting students working well above expected levels in mathematics and English, providing further extension to meet their individual needs. We also participate in the Victorian Challenge and Enrichment Series (VCES), which supports high achieving students from any year level via expert learning sessions covering any aspect of the curriculum.
On top of this, Camelot Rise provides many extra-curricular opportunities, such as a variety of lunchtime clubs and access to external academic activities, including ICAS examinations, Science Talent Search and the prestigious Alliance Francaise French poetry competition.
